Marco Pantani claimed victory at the 1998 Giro d’Italia while racing with the iconic number 101. To celebrate this legendary detail, Bianchi is releasing a strictly limited run of only 101 Specialissima RC Pantani models.

Each frame is hand-painted and individually numbered on the upper section of the downtube near the head tube. Every one of these 101 Specialissima bikes includes:

• Bandana: A meticulously recreated version of Pantani’s trademark bandana—famously worn at the start of stages and, as the story goes, cast aside when the real climbing battles began.
• Replica Jersey: Crafted by Santini, this stunning jersey pays tribute to the kit worn by Pantani and his teammates during the 1998 season.

The new-generation Specialissima refuses to compromise, offering the ultimate machine for mountainous terrain and sharp inclines. Its ultra-light, aerodynamically refined frameset and exclusive components help you perform just as impressively on flats and technical descents as on the climbs themselves.

Lightweight:
The top-tier Bianchi Specialissima weighs in at just 6.6 kg (+/–5%). Reaching this impressively low figure required shifting material from the rear to the front of the bike—resulting in extremely slender seat stays and narrower chain stays, paired with a reshaped, more aerodynamic head tube.

Aerodynamics:
Engineered for aerodynamic gains even on milder gradients. Compared to the previous model, the redesigned Specialissima saves a rider producing 200 watts 8.7 seconds on a 10 km climb at 6%. Over a flat 40 km stretch, it saves 31.19 seconds at the same power. For elite climbers riding at 30 km/h on a 6% incline, the updated design reduces required power by 3.6 watts.
