The start to the “proper” mountain biking journey: 29er aluminium hardtail with trail ready geometry, 120 mm air fork with lockout, Shimano 1x9 drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes.
Merida's expertise for over 50 years has been building bombproof aluminium hardtails. The latest generation follows modern mountain bike trends – a longer reach combined with a shorter stem. The geometry features a steeper seat angle and slacker head angle for greater off-road capability but without compromising everyday usability. The sophisticated TFS frames feature: full internal cable routing for a clean, neat set up, tapered headtube offering future upgrade potential, inboard disc brake mounts to protect the brake and maximise stopping power, and dropper post readiness. The new XXS Big Seven size extends the wide range of sizes; Big Nine for taller riders, Big Seven for shorter riders. Riders in the middle can take riding style into account – for speed and efficiency choose a Big Nine, for agility choose a Big Seven.
